This is.....how I like to spend my weekends.....

Thanks to 'The bird bath' for this weeks 'This is....'

Well, this weekend was a great example of an awesome weekend. Yesterday morning we hung out with Missy Moo - I made pancakes for breakfast and we had family play time. Then we dropped Missy Moo off at Grandad and Granny's and Husband and I made our way into town. We had lunch at our favorite spot (Shanghai Dumpling - where we had our first date!) and then went and checked in to The Stamford hotel 5. Had some retail therapy and back to the hotel for Earl Grey tea and slice. Then out to dinner for my sister in law's 30th birthday party - lots of great food and drink in Hardware Lane followed by a luxurious initerrupted sleep and buffet breakfast. Back to pick up Missy Moo for lots of hugs and kisses!

This is of course in no way typical of our usual weekend. So, I will say that we usually spend our weekends as a family, sharing a good meal and going to the park or something like that as a treat for the little one. Some lounging around and perhaps an afternoon nap. Cups of tea and maybe a biscuit or piece of cake. The simple pleasures.

I couldn't help but think while I was out in a bar last night that usually Hubby and I would be sitting on the sofa with a blanket watching a DVD and sharing a block of chocolate and some tea. What a contrast.
